Supporting Churches

Most Bulgarian churches are cash poor and few are able to support their own pastors financially. Our support can make a huge difference to the ministries of our church partners. Currently Pastors are supported in both Sliven & Varna.

Sliven Baptist Church 20th Anniversary – August 15th 2011 was the landmark day celebrating 20 years of Sliven Baptist Church and Brian & Chris Clarke were there to bring greetings from many friends in the UK – Brian said… “It felt like being the British Ambassador” - A day of great joy and celebration for all!

ROMA CHURCH

Pastor Encho Hristov trained for two years at a Bible College in Sofia followed by a year at the American University of Blagoevgrad; all in the mid 1990’s. From there he joined Derek Prince Ministries as translator to an American evangelist. Seeing the appalling plight of gypsies in Blagoevgrad, he started to evangelise this unreached people and over time built a church of 120 people.

In 2002 he returned to his home town and took on the leadership of a small house group, growing it till it has become a viable church congregation. Encho is married to Danika and they have a young son, Gabriel.

A building has been purchased with help from friends in the UK to turn into a multi-purpose church & training centre for the Roma community, and others too. The building needs major changes and renovations, and plans for this are in process
