Dear friends of Krasif Aid

A very happy Christmas from all of us at Krasif Aid, and as the end of another year draws close, just a few notes for your thoughts and prayers in the weeks ahead.

> The Blue House... Another full year of activities in and around the Blue House has also seen the launch of a new weekly Lymphodema Clinic. Further specialised clinic sessions are planned for the coming year at the Day Hospice too, as we help Director Genka and the team move forward in various new ways.

> Encho & Antioch Church... The redevelopment of the building for the church continues through the planning maze! Do please pray for Encho and all concerned for wisdom to take the right next steps.

> Franchising Conferences... One vital element of our work has always been helping Bulgarians to help themselves. With this in mind, board member Iain Martin is helping organise conferences promoting franchise business opportunities in both Romania and Bulgaria in January. Please pray for these to be very fruitful, and to link with just the right people in both countries.

> The Book: 'I don't want to go to the red-light district tonight!"... Sales continue and we do hope soon to have covered the production costs. All the ongoing profits will then be entirely for the work of Krasif Aid. We would be delighted to visit churches or other groups for an evening to talk from some of the highlights in the book with powerpoint and video extracts too, and of course all the up to date news from Bulgaria. Please get in touch if you are interested in this.

> January Bulgaria Visit... We personally spend two weeks in Bulgaria from 7th January for meetings with our partners for planning and encouragement, project visits, preaching and family seminars with the churches in Sofia, Varna and Sliven. We would value your prayers.

> Teams 2010... Several Mission Teams are already planning visits in 2010, and a further copy of the advert for the May Spring Bank Holiday Team is attached. Do get in touch if you want to know more.

> "Eat Like an Orphan"... is the name of our exciting new fundraiser to be launched early in the new year... More details soon!!

And for your diaries....

> NEW QUARTERLY PRAYER MEETING!!... Monday 4th January: We are beginning a the new quarterly evening prayer meetings for all and eveyone interested in the work of Krasif Aid in Bulgaria, and we are combining with the faithful Walsall Bulgaria Aid group for this. We hope many friends and supporters will join us for this regular event, and the first will kick-off the new year in style on Monday 4th January 2010 at Pleck Methodist Church, Bescot Road, Walsall WS2 9AD, starting at 8pm. Hope you can join us for this.

Finally, can we thank you for your interest and support of the ministry of Krasif Aid over the past 12 months. We look forward to all that God will do, in and through all of us involved in Bulgaria in 2010.

Please pray for our teams visiting Bulgaria...

OCTOBER:
Krasif Aid Board members Gillian & Alan Winser (pictured above) will lead a small team to Sliven in October to begin the next phase of Hospice activities at the Blue House. Rather than the previous daily “open house” times, the plan is to start a series of focused clinic sessions across the week, the first for Lymphoedema patients. Gillian, a nurse herself, who recently took early retirement from St Giles Hospice in Lichfield, Staffordshire, has two specialist nurse trainers joining her to teach Blue House staff and other local nurses during a week of seminars and practice.
Alan and others will be busy too carrying out some of the final renovations to the smaller annex building at the centre, following on from the sterling work already completed this summer by various UK volunteers.

NOVEMBER:
Social worker, Evelyn Wilson returns to Tvarditsa Men's Home in early November for the next stage of staff training, and oversight of the move of the most disabled men to their new living area, currently in the process of renovation.

JANUARY 2010:
Brian & Chris Clarke return to Bulgaria for planning meetings, preaching and family seminars with Varna Baptist Church.
