Activities Introduction

THE BLUE HOUSE: This is a Day Hospice in Sliven, set up in partnership with the Initiative Compassion Foundation, a Bulgarian charity created to manage the hospice and community welfare projects in the locality. Like UK hospices, monthly ongoing donations are vital to maintain this work ... bringing medical help and comfort to so many.

CARE FOR THE VULNERABLE: We are working to improve conditions at Burzitsa and Kermen children’s homes, plus helping other projects for the elderly and disabled people.

SUPPORTING CHURCHES & PASTORS: Most Bulgarian churches are cash poor and few are able to support their own pastors financially. Our support can make a huge difference to the ministries of our church partners.

ROMA CHURCHES: there are 70,000 gypsies in the Sliven region. An ongoing initiative is to help a gypsy pastor to acquire and develop a Church Centre. This will provide a much needed facility for education & health; also training ‘grass-roots’ community leaders for this marginalised people group.

JEWELLERY: Krasif Jewellery provides micro-enterprise income for struggling families and individuals. The jewellery is sold in the UK through a network of church and party-based sales.

FRANCHISE BUSINESSES: using well-proven models, we are looking to develop new business start-ups, which will create jobs and income for Bulgarians. We have a franchising specialist in our management team.
 
AID SHIPMENTS: for several years we have shipped donated aid goods from Walsall to Sliven under the banner of Bulgaria Aid; now part and parcel of KRASIF AID. This is a long-standing part of our commitment to Bulgaria.  

MISSION TEAMS: each year many people join teams focused on ... building works and DIY improvements at children’s institutions – often combined with inter-active play with the children; seminars and training for care professionals to EU standards; ophthalmic assessments ... and more.

WIDER MINISTRY: our mission is not limited to Bulgaria. We are looking for God-given openings to work in the wider region ... possibly Macedonia and Moldova.

GOOD NEWS: the Gospel of Jesus Christ has power to change individuals, families.and communities. This is the engine that drives all that we do and is our core principle.
